GEA – Pots produced with compostable compounds
From a close collaboration with the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering of the University of Pisa that has made use of the experience and expertise in research and development of materials engineering, is born our new product GEA, a series of Nuova Pasquini and Bini products designed as a valid alternative – “green” and “eco-sustainable” – to materials made with traditional plastic, derived from petroleum and non-biodegradable.
The Nuova Pasquini and Bini pots GEA are produced with biocomposite compounds, based on a high content of biobased materials and coming from renewable sources. They are designed to be produced with completely biodegradable and compostable materials in industrial compost. It is also possible to produce them with a compound that is compostable in soil and in a marine environment.
PB-PLA and PB-PLAFL
The PB-PLA and the PB-PLAFL are biocomposite compounds consisting of polymeric materials deriving from renewable resources, such as biomass, also mixed with ligno-cellulosic plant fibers (PB-PLAFL). Their nature therefore makes them eco-sustainable, with low environmental impact, allowing them to balance carbon dioxide emissions through biomass production. They are completely biodegradable and compostable in industrial composting.
This biocomposite compound is made of polymeric materials with a high content of raw material deriving from renewable sources, mixed with ligno-cellulosic plant fibers. Eco-sustainable, low environmental impact, it is completely biodegradable and compostable in industrial composting, home-composting and soil.
PB-PHA and PB-PHAFL
PB-PHA and PB-PHAFL are biocomposite compounds consisting of polymeric materials produced by the fermentation of bacteria, in a mixture also with ligno-cellulosic plant fibers (PB-PLAFL). Their nature therefore makes them eco-sustainable, with low environmental impact, allowing for bacterial fermentation to balance carbon dioxide emissions. They are completely biodegradable, compostable in industrial composting, home-composting, degradable in soil and in the marine environment.
The market of pots produced with bioplastic compounds is new and there are often difficulties regarding the availability of the raw materials. They often come from foreign countries and have very variable delivery times. Prices are also subject to continuous fluctuations. Therefore, we find it impossible to have a price list. Quotations will be made at the time of the request. For these reasons we do not guarantee prompt delivery and we recommend ordering the pots at least 40/50 days before the delivery date.
